Ron Yancey
Bass & Vocals |

 |
The first experience with rock music Ron had, was
the lead singer in a local band. At one point, the band needed a
bass player and an instrument was placed in his hands. He's been
playing bass ever since.
Ron answered an ad in the local paper from another local band.
That's where he hooked up with drummer, Eric Beech. For the next
twelve years the band would play locally and then take it to the
road. There would be tours all across Canada and the Northeastern
United States. In this time, Ron honed his skills as a well-rounded
entertainer. Not only does he put that solid bottom on the music,
but he is also an excellent showman. One guitar player was noted as
saying, "He's worth his weight in gold on stage."
After coming off the road, he played in various local bands again
while teaching gymnastics and karate. It was in one of these bands,
he got together with Billy. It was the parting of this band that
led to a new project, forming a band that would later become Dirty
Dogz.
Ron, or as he is affectionately known to his close friends,
Yanc, is quite a showman. He is also the target of light-hearted
joking on stage because of his seniority and shaved head. Off stage he
has been described as a "social butterfly". Not only does he give a
great performance on stage, he has the ability to entertain and mingle
with folks during breaks. If you've already met him, you know what we're
talking about. If not, come out and meet Ron. |

Billy Stoppe
Guitar & Vocals |
|
 |
Billy's father is a bass player, so at the tender age of six, Billy was
handed his first guitar. Although at that time, it held little interest
for him, he was destined to become a true guitarist. By the time his
teenage years rolled around, he rarely was without a guitar in his hands.
As a high school athlete, while the rest of the team was out on the
field practicing, he was in the locker room working on licks and
chords that would eventually lead to a musical career. Billy worked
in several bands before one of them hired Ron Yancey. These two took
an immediate shine to each other. After that band split, they decided
to form their own band, which later became Dirty Dogz.
Off stage, Billy is quiet and reserved (although those who know him best
might say that is not altogether true). On stage, he becomes one of the
focal points of the band. While he literally hammers out a rhythmic
barrage of chords, he attacks his guitar with a fever pitch and
blazes out a solo that makes you stand back and say, "Yeah!"
A real showman, that which is not often seen these days,
Billy will entertain the audience with his physical movements
during solos. From behind his back, over his head, behind his
head, or on the floor (he even did a cartwheel once with his
guitar on), it's a sight. Come out and hear the mad man play,
you won't be disappointed.

Linda Teets
Vocals |
|
 |
Linda's very first musical influence was her family. It seemed that
someone was always singing or humming a tune. Her grandfather, with
only a third grade education, taught himself how to play the guitar
and write music. The songs were a mix of folk and blue grass with a
strong Christian theme. Linda, however, has a much more eclectic
taste for music.
Although she had never had the chance to use her voice in a totally
musical environment, she never stopped singing. No matter where she
would be, she would randomly burst into song. Over the years, Linda
had many jobs, but always deep in her heart, dreamed of singing on stage.
When asked to fill in as a temporary singer/front person for Dirty
Dogz, she jumped at the chance. She took to the stage like a pro
and is now a permanent member of the band. As she, now, says with
a smile, "They'll never get rid of me." Linda gives every bit of
her heart in all the songs she sings and gets a kick from joking
and jabbing with the guys on stage. She really loves her new job
and it shows. Linda would love to see you at the gig, so come out
and meet the newest member of the Dirty Dogz!
One day she and cousin Christy went out together to get tattoos.
Afterward, they decided to go see a band. Christy was a big fan
and friend to the band Dirty Dogz. Linda absolutely loved the
sound of the band and thereafter, went to see them every chance
she could. She mainly caught them on Jam Nite, an open stage
night hosted by the band. After about two and a half years and
lots of coaxing from her friends, they finally convinced her to
get up on stage to sing. After that, she was hooked.

Eric Beech
Drums & Vocals |
|
 |
Eric started playing keyboards at the age of seven. Two years later he
switched to violin, following in the footsteps of his older brother.
His violin teacher was not pleased with the prospect when he decided
to play drums. Drumming seemed to come naturally to Eric and after
high school, he decided he would like to try his hand at rock and roll.
He and a guitar player put an ad in the local paper for a bass player
to form a band. That is when he met Ron Yancey, and they have been
friends ever since.
For the next twelve years, they would play locally and tour
extensively through Canada and the Northeastern United States.
During this period he would learn different techniques while
meeting other drummers.
Eric quit playing for a few years so he could devote his time to
his family. He was a self-employed cabinet-maker, but never
totally stayed away from music. During his "retirement years",
he would still do fill in work for various bands in all styles
of music. Many players have said "he's not real flashy, but his
dynamics and ability to develop a solid pocket, make him a
musicians drummer."
When Ron called and made the offer for him to join Dirty Dogz,
it was an offer he couldn't refuse. Eric, while staying in the
background on stage, puts the driving backbone behind the
music of the band. Usually quiet and reserved, he likes to
talk to people and get to know them, as well as listen to
feedback about the band. Come out and say "Hi". He'd like that.
